Job Description


Work as a part of a team to develop and execute sales strategies for the dealer network of a major OEM truck manufacturer to attain strategic and financial goals set by corporate objectives. Execute responsibilities that will cover OEM dealers and regional fleet customers. Provide occasional support to independent aftermarket customers and national accounts. Ability to work independently with customers at various levels within their organization including; VP of Parts, Dealer Principals, Parts Managers, Service Managers, Outside Sales and Parts Counter personnel. Manage assigned business and territory to achieve revenue and profit goals.
Job Responsibilities:
•Excellent professional presence with the ability to meet, consult, train and present independently within the dealer network
•Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills
•Develop and execute dealer specific sales plans to achieve business unit revenue goals
•Beyond dealer network, work with regional fleet customers and the OEM sales team to build relationships by providing solutions to their needs
•Develop an effective and efficient travel plan for large geographic territory
•A desire to pursue continuing education on products, tools and processes
•High level of technical knowledge of brake, wheel end, drivetrain, and suspension
•Monitor competitive activity to ensure competitiveness

Job Requirements


•Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related field preferred or high school diploma plus experience required
•Minimum of 6 years experience in sales, marketing, customer support, business or engineering
•Experience in the markets served by Meritor, Meritor products and field sales experience highly preferred
•Demonstrated strong product and technical knowledge of brake, wheel end, drivetrain, and suspension required
•Proficient experience with CRM and sales pipeline management systems required; SalesForce preferred
•Strong communication skills with the ability to provide sales and technical training to both large and small groups required
•Ability to travel: 70% overnight travel required
