Job Description

Meritor Inc.’s finance Co-op program is designed for top notch students pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting. These candidates must possess the drive to become future leaders that deliver outstanding results in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The primary focus of the role is in the Financial Shared Services organization supporting customer credit and steel rebill activity, however the Co-op will gain exposure to other functional areas of the organization. As a Co-op you will be challenged to use the skills you already have and develop new ones to provide excellent service to internal partners and external customers.

Job Responsibilities:

• This role will have exposure to Shared Services, Finance and Purchasing
• Support Credit Manager and Sr. Credit Analyst with creating customer credit files and assist with credit reviews. Mitigate customer risk and exposure to Meritor by reviewing 3rd party credit reporting and customer financial data. Partner with Meritor Sales to obtain required documentation for customer set ups
• Partner with Purchasing, Finance and steel rebill suppliers to ensure the rebill process is current. Send steel mill shipping registries to rebill suppliers for confirmation and based on confirmations, enter sales orders into our ERP system
• Support continuous improvement and special projects

Job Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Strong teamwork and ability to interact with all levels of the organizations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills including presentation creation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Previous internship or work experience
• Strong capability and knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Job Code: #LI-DNI
